Beyoncé really wanted to win album of the year but Harry Styles won it. He was pleased but said "On nights like tonight, it's important for us to remember that there's no such thing as best in music."
Another historic event was Sam Smith and Kim Petras' winning best pop duo/group performance. They performed their single Unholy. Kim is the first transgender woman to win the award. She said she was so grateful for her mother's love.
Lizzo looked amazing and won record of the year. Bad Bunny was first on stage and everyone got up and danced. Singer Bonnie Raitt surprised everybody by winning song of the year. She beat Taylor Swift and Beyoncé, who were also nominated.
