French surfer's biggest wave - 5th December 2019

Nazaré is in Portugal. The sea here has very big waves.

The waves are famous. Surfers come to surf them. People watch them surf.

Justine Dupont is a surfer from France. She surfs the big waves here every winter. This year, one wave could be a record!

Brazilian Maya Gabeira has the world record wave for a woman surfer. The record is 68 feet high.

The World Surf League checks possible new surfing records. Now, they are checking Justine Dupont's wave. She finds out in May 2020 at the WSL Big Wave Awards.
