The Sherpa climbing brothers

The Sherpa brothers are excellent mountain climbers. They’re from Nepal. They're going to climb the highest mountain on every continent together. They’re going to ski to the North and South Poles too.

The brothers climbed Antarctica’s 4,892 metre Mount Vinson.

Chhang Dawa and Mingma Sherpa went to the South Pole too. These two brothers already climbed the 14 highest mountains in the world. Tashi Lakpa is their little brother. At 19, he climbed Everest without using oxygen.

Tashi Lakpa Sherpa: "Hi guys, we are three brother. We are first time have been to the Vinson and we just summit today. We just come back from South Pole. We’re the first brother I think who did South Pole and Vinson together. And we’re the sibling. And my two brothers Mingma - is the first Southeast Asian, Southeast Asian 14 peaks summitter. Dawa is the second Southeast Asian 14 peak, 14 peak summitters. And they are the first sibling 14 peak summitters in the world."

Tashi Lakpa Sherpa: "And love you all mountaineering world and my country Nepal."

Sherpas is the name for a group of people too. They're from the valleys around Mount Everest.

Sherpas often work as mountain climbing guides. They are excellent climbers. In 2021, some Nepali climbers showed the world their skills. They climbed up K2 in winter.

The Sherpa brothers have five more mountains to climb. And they need to visit the North Pole. They want to do this in one year and get the Explorers' Grand Slam. Weniger anzeigen
